BRIEF

The project was initiated by the son of Carlo Scarpa, Tobia Scarpa. The idea is that the students on the HFT Stuttgart should have a study visit at Certosa, an island in the lagoon of Venice.

A study-center for student should be developed in the area of mixed use. The study visit of the 30-35 students will last one week and should be supported by the existing rooms and the infrastructure that will be part of the project. Collective meals, accommodation and seminars will be given for the group of people. The near exterior area should be involved and designed depending on the seasons. The project includes an existing brick building and two more building sites.

The houses two and three should have the similar outside dimensions like the existing one. The materials for the two new buildings can be chosen free.
