Interior design is a mean to improve lives. This is why I want to be an interior designer. The motivation for my work is to explore and use interior design as a medium to make people question the world and our responsibility as individuals to make it a better place. I would like to arouse interest of people on society or environmental problems.
I am also very interested in how designers can contribute to link people together; I want to explore the notion of ‘middle’ and break the social hierarchy, the boundaries between being ‘under’ and being ‘over’. My goal is to encourage people to reach out, foster communities and create cohesion.
Besides, I want to contribute to the well being of people in difficult situations. By creating spaces, which give the sensation of well being, spaces that are harmonious, structured, allow rest, evasion and wonder; my wish is to give them beauty, because it’s a first step toward recovery.
